Do you know how to type without looking at the keyboard?

And how fast can you type? If you're fast then how did you get so fast?

In elementary school my teacher would put a box over my hands so I would not be able to see the keyboard. At the time it seemed mean, but now I can type without looking.
I type pretty fast, but by profession.

I learned how to type back in high school and have always remembered how. It takes alot of practice but once you get the letters and everything down, you never forget. It always stays with you. I always type without looking at the keyboard but I've been doing it for 20+ years.

Sometimes, I look @ the keyboard when I forget where certain letters are. Some letters are easier than others. My typing speed is about 40-45.

Definitely. I'm not super fast but I can type about 55 WPM.

Yes I can!! Fast enough..that Im not slow. In school they start teaching you in the 7th grade & you practice even more in the 8th. I also get practice in becuase im always on the computer & im still learning now.

I type looking and not looking. I can type in the dark and not make huge mistakes. I guess I'm at about 60+ WPM.

I get paid by the line, 7 cents a line. I made about 160 bucks for 8 hours of work today, you do the math.

Yes, about 60 wpm, practice practice practice on jobs with lots of typing.

yeahh, like someone else said. back in like 1st or 2nd grade the teacher would put boxes over our keyboards so we couldnt look. i hated her for doing it but now thanks to 7 years of doing that i can type fast without looking :)
