There is also a car being manufactured in France that has an engine that runs on compressed air. It is already used in some buses and taxi cabs there. We don't hear a lot about these in the U.S. for some reason......

Electric cars have been around for almost two decades.
I remember seeing free recharging stations at MBTA commuter parking garages in Cambridge (Mass) in the late 1980s or early 1990s. Anyone driving an electric car got to park right by the elevators, and could recharge for free.
Then it stopped. We know who killed the electric car. People just don't care.
