The fancy goldfish are not as tolerant of lower temperatures as they're purer brothers: koi, comets, etc. They also do not get as large. If you keep your tank in the mid 70's range, the trops and the fancy can do quite well.
Bear in mind that they will get larger than your mollies: the smaller types get to 8" while the larger ones get up to 10 - 12" (fancies...the regulard get much larger!) and they are longlived. They aren't aggressive fish nor are they territorial so your goldie should live in harmony even as he outgrows all his tankmates.
Another thing to remember is that goldfish do not have stomachs: they have a digestive tract that takes food in and pushes it back out. They put out a high bioload on the tank (like a cichlid or a pleco) so water changes become more necessary, more frequently.
My 40 gallon long is fancy goldfish only for that reason, while my 30 gallon is my tropical community tank.

Go to pet store buy a couple small comets or fan tail gold fish. They call them fedder fish.
They will be small about 2 inches, as they grow they will accept the others you have an not bother them. I've done this several times.
Chose bright eyed healthy looking tail fish that are real active to help prevent disease.

Make sure the goldfish eats his food, and make sure the tropical fish eat their food. Other than that and the temperature is mid 70 it should be fine.

Goldfish don't do well in a tropical fish tank, the water is too warm for them, also they are much dirtier than other tropical fish. So they don't mesh well together.

Contrary to popular opinion, goldfish can handle temperatures up to 76 or so without undue stress, so as long as that's your target temperature a goldfish would be fine. Remember, this is not the best way to keep a goldfish, but it won't harm the fish either.

No honey, i'm afraid you have overstocked your aquarium already. aside the temperature, your purple-finned shark and catfish could strengthen in length and desire greater area than they initially desire. could I propose you have a separate tank on your goldfish?

a friend of mine put a koi in with her tropicals and it did fine. and the gold fish are kinda like a koi so you may be okay. I have a Betta in my tropical along with a couple cichlids that were getting hammered in their tank. gold fish aren't very expensive so try it.
