When i tried to buy 2 tickets for the yankees-Mets game in June they wanted me to pay $350.00 for each ticket & this was from ticketmaster. We demand for our teams to get good players but then the fan pays for it & i think it's out of hand already. As much as i will miss going to the games in person i will have no problem boycotting & not going anymore. I will gladly just watch it on t.v. No team is worth paying $350.00 per ticket.

that is why i refuse to go to many games it cost way to myuch to watch a bunch of highly over priced player(s) play..your better of going to a minor league game(s),,,they ahve amny more promtions and most seats are $10 or less..and the food isn't to over priced..and parking is much cheaper or even free..and most are willing to sign autographs esp for the kids..even during bating practice..

Maybe it is in NY, but I live in Phoenix and there's no tickets even close to that price here. The most expensive tickets are $175, foul territory for $35, and outfield bleacher seats for $15. The cheapest are $5. But the D-backs payroll is 1/4 of the Yankees. Both the Yankees and the Mets are made up of superstars because that's what the fans demand. Any time I watch a game where a NY team is playing and some player doesn't come through everyone boos him. So, you have your superstar teams, that's what the fans demand. If you want cheaper tickets you need a smaller payroll.

Where were the seats? Seats up close at Yankee Stadium and Shea can be a bit pricey depending on where they are.
These prices are not set for the intent of the general public to purchase.
They charge these insane prices because they know some big business or law firm will pay for them.

Mr Jeter,
I totally agree. The prices are only for the well-to-do. Buying a few tickets and going to a game is over my head, financially. So, like you, I watch it on TV. Yankees? Miserable this year, isn't it? I'm glad that I didn't buy season tickets!

Well are you willing to cut the yankee payroll in half? No more all stars at the trade deadline and more farm raised players. Let A-Rod walk and trade Damon and maybe you can get your next tickets for $325 each next year. Prices will probably change w/ the new stadium too.

Politics man. Price for a Yankee met game will be higher because of the past they have hadd. A Yankee Twins game isn't as exspensive because those teams really don't have a Rivalry likee the Yankees and Mets or the Yankees and Red Sox

players 8 figure a year salaries have to come from somewhere. $8 - 32oz. watered down beer, $25 and $35 parking places, $250 Official MLB player uniforms. We all pay for it in one way or another. Large percentages from these sales and more go to astronomic salaries and ticket prices are only going to go higher until fans have a say in it.

Ah, well... Ticketmaster... no wonder, really.
With total attendance likely to crest 75 million for the season -- another new record -- many people disagree with you, and willingly pay the going rate.
Sorry, but that's the current marketplace.

I believe it is ridiculous, but it is all about supply and demand. As long as enough people pay it the prices will keep going up right along with player's salaries.
