I love the yankees to death, i live sleep, eat and piss yankees. but the pure distance behind they are suggests that it is utterly impossible to pull of the greatest comeback in sports history (from 14.5 back). If the red sox were to go .500 which is very unlikely b/c their schedule is super easy, then the yankees would need to win all except 21 of their games. which would be a phenominal feat. So will they do, no chance in hell. but can they do it, unlikely but possible. LIVE YANKEES

Offense is still a top 5, so they will do everything that is possible to get Dan Haren, Johan Santana and Roy Oswalt before the deadline to upgrade the inconsistent and aging rotation.
Who knows, it's possible to come from 10 games behind and there's no reason to think the Yanks won't do it and they have chances to make the playoffs as the Wild Card.

Yes. If their pitchers can get & stay healthy.
They have all the hitting they need.
Not likely to catch a team as good as Boston but the wild card is certainly within reach.

i think they just need to be consistent if they are i think there in the rigth track in the first 29 games are teams under . 500 so i think they start there comeback if they win a lot of those games

They've done it before under more dire circumstances. I'm behind them to the end. But if they're gonna get to the playoffs, they have to go all the way.

it is possible, but it is a big hill to climb. However, if anyone can do it, it would be the Yankees. Steinbrenner will do anything he can to produce a winner this year.
