A promise to uphold the values of the USA shape. well being care isn't a suitable, yet they want to strip a number of their rights to maintain the culmination of their exertions and supply that to those that do no longer deserve it. (we've already got well being safeguard people who truly won't be in a position to have the money for it, this could in simple terms enable all of us to get HBO) the 2d modification isn't for searching and it is normally infringed if the dems have all of the capacity. (they keep attempting, look into HR 1022) they want to grant some 800billion of our funds to the UN (see the "international Poverty Act" subsidized via Obama) i like giving to those that want it, yet i do no longer ought to offer to the feds and then to the UN to do it. (See business enterprise costs) it truly is like once you supply a chum a 20 to %. some thing up from the keep, how usually do you get exchange? Now think of that pal giving the money to yet yet another guy or woman to do an identical interest. this is inefficiency at its superb. We have confidence them with our funds and that they in turn, say they'll spend it responsibly... proper there are possibly too many to checklist all of them...

They didn't break their promise, they didn't have enough votes. There's a big difference. They don't have enough seats to end the war. They needed some Repubs to vote in a manner that would be for the country and not the military industrial corporate complex. But alas, there weren't enough brave Repubs to do so. Once again the Republicans prove themselves as treasonist as usual. They'll vote for a corrupt president before they will for their country. They show their true patriotism for their president before the country every single time.

Yeah. Now that they've had a full six years of control of every branch of the federal government...oh wait, that's the Republicans, and we all know they've never broken a promise. They're uniters, compassionate conservatives, not nation builders. Just a bunch of straight shooters by golly.

What makes YOU think they broke their promise to end the war in Iraq? They are trying - and they are up against a true American dictator - not a president that follows all the rules and laws, but a very corrupt and evil man and administration.

Well you think like you look. If you understood our government, just having a majority does not mean they can control everything that happens in congress. We still need some brave Republicans to break ranks and do the right thing.

"Breaking a promise" infers that they made the promise and willfully failed to follow up. They attempted to make good on the promise but were blocked by Republicans blindly toeing the party line. There is a difference.

they might be able to end it- just not when they said they would. sadly we have to wait and give them the benefit of the doubt since they are the only ones who can end the war

lol, they broke no promise. they just didn't have enough people in the Senate to get it done.. takes 60 votes to get it to the floor after all.. and that was developed to protect the minority party(s) and as much as it aggravated me, it shouldn't be changed.. one day my party will be the minority party again.. gonna need those safe guards to protect us then.

but still ... they tried.. and they will try again in '08.. no worries.
