If you only have them in the one place, a simple spray-can insecticide should do it. Be sure to thoroughly clean the cabinets with a bleach and water solution to pick up any crumbs or smells that continue to attract the bugs. Let them dry out thoroughly before reusing them. Try to locate where they are entering the house, or where they come from to get into the cabinets. You may have a larger problem than you think you do.

If you do things yourself, Demon is the best pesticide if you wish to apply it inside your house. You mix it up in a gallon tank sprayer, and cover all the baseboards, corners, under the sink and major appliances, and in your case the offending cabinets as well. It does not smell, and it leaves a real fine powder when it dries. The powder can be gently brushed away if you don't like seeing it on the floor, etc. Use an outdoor pesticide to treat outside of the house. You will then have two layers of defense. Do this every six months, and no more bugs of any kind. Good luck!

Beetles....most likely. I would spray the corners of the cabinet with Cy-Kick Cs Aerosol. Then I would put some boric acid under the cabinets. You can usually get the powder into the voids by finding the holes between the cabinets. You will also want to put it under your dishwasher and your frig. That's what I would do as a professional. You can actually buy the stuff and do it yourself. The best place online to buy professional products is http://pestprojoe.com

" Small bugs?" There are too many varieties/possibilities to give an exact answer.

Look in the yellow pages of your phone directory for the name and address of a local exterminator.

Call them to be sure they are available for a visit, because some may not have public access to their premises.

Once you know where to go , collect a few of the bugs in a small bottle, close the cap firmly and take the bottle to the exterminator.

The exterminator will be able to identify the bugs and recommend a suitable means of dealing with them.
