Kenny G is a pansy, David Sanborn is the good stuff. Dave Weckyl band is a bassist, drummer, keyboardist and sax player, so he gets some good time in the spotlight. other songs that are good:
"Cold September Morning"- Steve Allen (one of my favorite songs)
"Channel One Suite"- Buddy Rich Band (really cool tenor sax feature, including a cadenza)
"Jungleland" by Bruce Springsteen - not jazz at all, but there's a very good tenor solo halfway through.
I hope those help

Well...sure all the songs of Kenny G; ...or David Sanborn (!!),
There are a lot of Saxophone-artists in Jazz and Smooth-Jazz.
Thats right! Songbird!
As well the great "the dream" from David Sanborn!
.."girl from Ipanema"..theres a instrumental-version of it.
The writer of that song (Tom Jobim) did a couple of Saxophone-instrumental songs, with the legendary Stan Getz!
check him out!!!!!!
bye

I really love "When did you stop loving me?" by Marvin Gaye- Lovely sax all the way through. Two more of my jazz faves with sax as the main instrument are- Eddie Harris "Lovely is today" and Cannonball Adderley "This Here"
