It seems as tho' I have, inadvertently, lost a file full of photos. Been through my collection of pics :and 'search' is there anything else I can try in hopes of retrieving them.???

hers hoping you have not deleted them first you need to know what format these pics were in jpg is the norm
now when you search add only .jpg to your search and all pics stored on the pc in that format will appear

There are some file recovery programs you can use, Elcomsoft Recovery, PCTools recovery etc, but they all cost are not easy to use and no guarantee to restore everything, if anything. You could use this as a hard lesson to back-up (save) any files you want to keep in future. You can save on USB pen drives (limited size), DVD R/W discs my preferred option, if you have a DVD read write drive, or buy an external USB hard drive.

1. Try SYSTEM RESTORE and go back to when you know you had them...Start..all programs...accessories..system
tools...system restore.
2. If that doesn't work email.....

if you accidently deleted them ((ive done this sooo many times!!)) try looking in your recycle bin --you might have mistakingly deleted them without noticeing...HOPE U GET THEM BACK!!...<3
