Is it really fair to say only witchs and demons? There is a whole slew of religions who worship other dieties, so would a better worded question be 'those who oppose the Holy Spirit'?
In answer of the question - look at the Bible. The Holy Spirit is the third person of the trinity (Father, Son, Holy Ghost.), as such he has just as much power as the other two. Satan quakes in God's presence, so why wouldn't his minions do so as well?

They aren't. I'm a witch. We just don't believe in the Holy Spirit as Christians do. As for demons, i don't know.

Why did you find it necessary to shout there at the end?
I don't know of any "witches" that are afraid of the "holy spirit", although many have a healthy respect for spritual beings in general.
You'll have to ask demons how they feel about it, I'm afraid. I don't know of a single one of them.
Maybe you would be better off if you were providing an example of a decent life well led, instead of baiting folks on yahoo answers............just a parting thought.

No, they do not. Witches have nothing to do with demons. This is a biblical concept created by men in a time when women were seen as evil and tabu. Unfortunately, too many people still feel this way.
The witches I know of lead a more gracious and peaceful life than the majority of Christians I know.
I really hate questions like this.

Why are Christians afraid of the holy spirit? I mean as a facet of God wouldn't he be the one to punish those bad and intolerant Christians? Do unto others and all.
Speaking as a witch, I'm not afraid of the holy spirit, you have your beliefs, I have mine. I respect yours, you obviously don't respect mine. If you're going to go be offensive, don't be surprised when you get offensive answer.

I'm a witch and I do not fear anything called the Holy Spirit. That's just propaganda against my belief system. Ask a Witch what they fear instead of listening to false information about them (i.e. The Bible)!!
