If you only have the sound when applying the brakes, and not when letting the transmission slow you down, it is most likely the brakes are worn out. Don't forget to check your back brakes too. Often times they are overlooked when brakes are being replaced.

All disc brakes have a built in "squealer" in the brake pads. It is there to let you know that the pads are worn down. It is a metal tab that makes contact on the brake rotors once the friction material is worn to about 25%. You probably don't hear it at high speeds because of other noises like road & wind. and the noise is not as loud if heavy pressure is applied. Have your mechanic check you brakes, most auto repair shops have "free brake inspections". You are not obigated to have them perform the work either.

It's your brake pads--they're shot!

You need to get new ones NOW.

You don't hear it at high speeds because the noise is too high pitched to be heard, that's all.

Go get your pads replaced before you grind your rotors and have to replace them as well.

Turn off the computer and go do it now--Hurry.

if it have been the take carry of it may ensue once you pressed the pedal and the trans once you launch the pedal and optimistically you're purely a splash low on the kit field point yet once you maintain driving it is going to keep making the value to restoration upward push because of the fact the take carry of has a tendency to be one piece once you launch the pedal (no shifting aspects) i'm confident its the trans
