I have a female tokay, and also have a male high yellow leopard gecko, not in the same terrarium ,they are both great but I would say my leopard is slightly more active than my tokay, but my tokay lets me know when its mad by vocally making noises, my tokay pretty much stays inside its bamboo or sticks on the glass unless she comes out to get food, but no matter what time of day it is my leopard is pretty much always doing something.

Well they are nocturnal and are most active during dawn and dusk. I don't know about compared to leos but I think they are more active. As Leopard Geckos are one of teh most not active lizards. Lol. Im getting a Tokay soon also.

I would say that they're no more or less active than a leo... it's just that a tokay is going to be more active when you're asleep. If you're wanting something that's going to be out when it's bright and viewable, a tokay isn't quite what you're looking for, I wouldn't think. They can't read clocks, so if it's midnight and you've got lights on, it's still going to be hiding from the brightness in the rest of the room. In my experience, they don't do too well in high-traffic areas because of this... sudden light changes... big noises, things like that... not pleasant things for nocturnal animals.

Oh, they bite like a vise in case you're not aware, just a bit of a warning.
