I have a 1994 Chevrolet K3500 6.5L Turbo Diesel 4X4. At 55 mph I have around 2250 rpm. At 65 mph I have around 2750 rpm. This truck has a Hydra-matic 4L80E 4-Speed Overdrive transmission. The info stickers are worn off the truck and I have no operators manual. These RPMs seem high to me. What is my gear ratio (3.73, 4.10, higher?) (And yes the transmission is shifting into overdrive and the torque converter is locking up)

Just guessing, but would think its a 3.73 or close to that. Sounds like similar rpms when I had my mustang, with 3.73's in it. Hope this helped. Good luck.

Look on the SIPI sticker in the clove box and match it up w/ the RPO code.

GQ1 -- AXLE REAR, STD RATIO
GT4 -- AXLE REAR, 3.73 RATIO
GT5 -- AXLE REAR, 4.10 RATIO
GU4 -- AXLE REAR, 3.08 RATIO
GU5 -- AXLE REAR, 3.23 RATIO
GU6 -- AXLE REAR, 3.42 RATIO
G80 -- AXLE REAR, LIMITED SLIP (POSITRACTION)

Or you can use the bottom link and find out what some of the other codes on the sticker means(options).

Good luck!
