i dont know what kind i have but is it running slow

You need to provide more information than that! There must be a name on it somewhere! What version of windows are you running? How much RAM do you have? If you have an old computer with tons of stuff on it it may be time to upgrade! This is the best place I have found to buy the stuff you may want to improve your computer or simply replace it! 1.u a registry cleaner software...
2.manage the programs at start-up-do do this go to start>run
type-msconfig-press Enter
A window will open..go to Start up tab - remove the programs that are unnescessary...be Sure...
3.go To Windows Folder> them Temp Folder>
Delete all files in that
restart ur computer
if it does not solve the problem
4.go to my computer right click on each drive:then go to properties...press the disk clean up button..do it for all the drives
finally
5.defragment all the drives

Are you running a heavy anti virus prog? Free ones like Avast or AVG are much lighter and just as effective.

You need to provide more specific info. Look on the PC, it should have a name and model number.
Also click start>run
type: dxdiag
That will provide helpful info

You need to be specific if you want help. It would help to know what processor, hoe much memory, etc. Try to defrag your PC and scan for virus and spyware.
