A Tablet PC is a notebook- or slate-shaped mobile computer. Its touchscreen or digitizing tablet technology allows the user to operate the computer with a stylus or digital pen, or a fingertip, instead of a keyboard or mouse. The computer is linked to a network using a wireless or wired link.

The form factor offers a more mobile way to interact with a computer. Tablet PCs are often used where normal notebooks are impractical or unwieldy, or do not provide the needed functionality.

They are called tablet PCs.

Very cool. More expensive. Unless you have some job where you need to write on documents or draw I do not know if they are worth the extra expense.

Look to be about and extra $300 compared to the ultra-portables:

Are you thinking of a Flybook / Tablet PC?

I don't know much about them just heard about them from mates.

What you want is a notebook computer. Most major manufacturers (Dell, HP, ect) offer them.
