I only know the image of her portrayed in the media so I do not feel qualified to pass an opinion on her.

Camilla used and abused Diana during her lifetime. She may be nice to many people but from the outset was unwilling to give up Prince Charles, which makes Camilla a marriage wrecker. Diana's death has so many question marks over it and frankly the British establishment would like to draw a veil over the whole thing and move on - making us all love Camilla and forget about Diana altogether.

All the Diana freaks will be out in force for this question! I'd like to put a personal view.
At one time I knew people who lived near her and her first husband in the West Country. None of them - not one - had a bad word to say about her, or knew anyone who had. These were not people of her own class, but ordinary working people who saw her when (if she had had a snobbish, condescending or mean side) they would have been sure to see it.
Prince Charles's great mistake was his first marriage. He is now with the woman he might have had years of happiness with, had he married her first. It may have been wise (i.e. tactful) to pander to the Diana fan-club by not using the title Princess of Wales, but by now I think Camilla should use it - if she wants to.
In any case, when the time comes, I for one am ready to welcome Queen Camilla. When her husband is king, she'll be queen automatically - whether the Di fan club like it or not. She'll make a better job of it than the one we might have got.

I like her. It's too bad Charles couldn't have married her to begin with. I think she has a better grasp on how the royal family works, and how to behave in public. Also, I think that she should use the "Princess of Wales" title. There were many before Diana was "P of W" and Camilla not using the title tends to make that title Diana's alone and not to be used again.

To me, the proof of what sort of person she is is that she gets on very well with the sons of Charles and Diana, and also with her own ex-husband and her children. No-one in the family has rejected or deserted her, and they all speak highly of her.
It's a hard thing to be a step mother, especially if you follow after one of the most famous and glamorous women of the 20th century, nor is it a small thing to get a divorce in very public circumstances and face a lot of harsh criticism.
Camilla is not good looking, but she seems to have been honest in her own way (among her friends and family, not to us whos business it is not), so she gets marks for that in my book.
However, as for not being called 'Princess of Wales', yes, I think that was a wise decision. If she had been given that tile, it would only have led to comparisons and ongoing controversy.
Camilla seems to be more interested in her marriage and family than titles and making herself look good. I think that's a very positive thing.
Best wishes :-)

I really don't know why people are so anti Camilla. She has finally married the man she has been in love with most of her life - a man who loves her as well. Diana was an arranged marriage as most royal marriages are. She did her duty and had two sons to continue the line but Charles kept his mistress as did many of his forbears. Edward VII had an ancestor of Camilla as his mistress.
Both Charles's and Camilla's former spouses are dead and the pair are happily married. Charles's sons accept their stepmother and from what I hear, like her. If Charles becomes king, Camilla will be queen and that's fine by me.

I actually think that we are all wrong by judging her so negativly. She has proofen herselve to be very devoted and loving to her husband. I think the two of them should have married much sooner. But on the other hand, we are glad for the princes William and Harry. Camilla just fits perfectly to Charles. A King is entitled to happiness and love in his life. Let's face it Princes Di and him were not a perfect match for Charles. Camilla focuses on charity work, and supports Prince Charles, whereever she can. Whereby Princes Di became so in the for run that Prince Charles stood behind in the public eyes. That probably has become a thorn in his eyes. Just my opinion!

I think Camilla is good for Charles and should have been with him from the very begining.
They suit each other, and have the same interests.
No way should she be Princess of Wales, Queen?? I dont think it would be acceptable after all thats happened.

I'm not really bothered. In the end it was Prince Charles choice and to be honest, to me shes never forced herself into the media or anyone and "showed off" so to say.
They may be royals but their people too and they have lifes and how would you like the whole world calling you "horse face" must be hard for her to put up with so much from people who dont know her
