Staying out of choice (B) is the opposite of commitment.
Commitment (n): A pledge to do. Something pledged, especially an engagement by contract.
All the choice comes prior to the commitment; you make a choice to commit, and after that the choice is over and done with. You have exercised your personal will and preference at that point, and come to a decision. Staying married thereafter implies a commitment to that decision.
I am happily married and I have been married for 21 years. I like to think I know something about commitment.

Staying out of choices means that you want to stay there and desire to stay there.
Staying because you must because you are married leads to you cheating in a year or two. Human needs have to be fulfilled!
