Too soon for most. I'd say between 17 and 22 weeks is when I've always known people to find out if it was just ultrasound and not amnio, which u can do at 15, but not just for a gender check. The only 100% way is to give birth and take a look lol. I'll be goin thursday and i'm 19 weeks so hopefully they'll give me an answer so i at least have an idea! but for you, i'd wait another month. i know its tough but it goes by quick! :)

That is generally too early. Usually they determine the sex at the 20 week ultrasound. However, I needed to have one at 16 weeks (for another reason), and they could tell at that point.

It's visable, however, it's way too early for the tech to be able to get a good enough view of the baby to see the sex organs clearly. The baby is still very small at that stage. The earliest I've heard people being told is at 16 weeks.

You can tell the sex of a baby by ultrasound at 20 weeks...no sooner if you want to be for sure.

actually i have heard the earliest accurate time to tell is 16 weeks.
however at 14 weeks my doctor went ahead and looked (it was my first appt and i was getting an ultrasound) but the baby was not cooperating, so i figure it must be possible to see then if she was going to bother checking.

sometimes, if the technician is really good and the baby is developed enough and the get a clear shot, they can tell that early... usually they wait until at least 16 weeks though. my friend found out with her first at 13 weeks and they were dead-on. i found out at 16 weeks and it seemed pretty clear to me.
hope you find out soon! its so exciting once you do because then you get to pick out names and stop calling the baby "it". haha. although... picking names out seems kind of daunting now.. hmm...
best of luck to you and congrats!

Generally, they do not determine the sex of the baby that early. They usually wait till the 20th week to determine sex.

They gave me 80% accuracy at 11weeks, and it was still the same at 16weeks. There is a small chance you will be able to find out.
