i have dug the out but they still return. HELP

Cut them down to little stumps and then PAINT round up on them - the roots on those things can be really big underground and you might find that the only way of really getting rid of them is by digging them out of the soil. Digging might not be practical though but at the very least the round up will seriously stunt their growth. The good thing about Round Up is that it neutralizes on contact with soil so it's not too nasty

The only way is to buy a total foilage killer that you hook to your water hose and spray it with..However this kills everything grass and all...it will be a waste land vegetation wise for a year or so...actually I think it is terrible stuff..I rather make pies and deserts , cobblers out of them..

Make some jam or delicious pies , just trim the branches that are to long and enjoy your tree!
