I just bought a i930 phone off of ebay. Once I get the phone can i just take my sim card out of my old phone and put it in my new phone. Or do i have to call nextel first?

You should have no problem as long as the other phone is unlocked. If it is locked to a network other than Nextel, you would need an unlock code. Usually you can tell because the phone will ask for a "special code" or "unlock code" or something else in that nature.

Your phone service should work automatically. However, you would probably need to configure outgoing sms, mms (picture messaging) and wap (wireless Internet). If it is a Nextel branded phone then you should have no trouble at all.

Enjoy your new phone! :)

Typically yes. Sometimes you need to upgrade the sim chip (I've had this happen before), but sim chips were designed to be interchangeable.

Switching your sims card does not activate the phone. You will have to take your new to get it activated. switching your sim card only switches over your contacts and settings.
