I went to what was called a "Defend Marriage" rally where over 20,000 people went to protest the legalization of same sex marriage. At that rally there was maybe, maybe 100 people there in support of same sex marriage. No national media showed and only one local tv crew showed. That local tv crew (I watched them do this) gathered the 100 or so into a tight group and moved thier cameras in really close. That night I watched the news and they reported on a huge rally to SUPPORT same sex marriage and the footage looked like there was this huge crowd of supporters there.
No other media reported on it.
I am a conservative and I know there is biased in media on both sides of ever issue but why do liberals deny it? It is so blatently obvious.

beardog4314. You are so full of crap. Do a search and find the post. Prove me a liar.
Go ahead. If you're going to make an accusation back it up. You won't because you're a coward and you can't debate an argument so typically you resort to name calling.

Wow. So many people still not getting it. I admitted in my question there is bias on both sides, all the conservatives I know admit there is bias, the question was why do so many who claim to be liberals deny it?

And Don C. You want to know what part of "Love one Another even as i have loved you"
that fits into? Here's how. I am a fallable human being like everyone else. We are all sinners and while I accept the fact that I sin, I feel bad about it and I try to repent, I don't promote my sins as being acceptable. If you think someone is doing something that will harm them, would not try to help? That's what true christians do. We believe that not just engaging in sin but promoting it as being acceptable does harm to ones eternal soul. Therefore (whether you want to believe it or not) out of LOVE for our fellow man we try to help people understand that to promote sin is wrong. Again, we all sin. I am not better than anyone else. I don't claim to be.
Yes Jesus said to all sinners "Love one Another even as i have loved you." but he also said, "Go, and sin no more."

I'm a liberal and I don't see the liberal bias in CBS, NBC, ABC or Fox.
I see CNN and MSNBC as about 50/50.
I have to go elsewhere for liberal bias. I listen to Air America Radio, especially Randi Rhodes. She's ex-navy and she's a true liberal, but not a total leftist, definitely not socialist.

It's not exactly earth-shattering news. Do you really think somebody out there does not yet know that the government of Iran is repressive? And they just needed that news story to finally come to that conclusion? And if the media was so Liberal, why do conservatives feel the need to repeat that meme every 15 minutes. Facts usually don't need that much repeating. If somebody told me the sky was blue every 15 minutes, I'd think they were seriously off. It starts to look more like propaganda. Besides, the media landscape is almost exclusively corporate.

I know this much. I know when the media reports on how many died today in Iraq, they aren't making it up. I know when they report on Cheney thinking he's above the law they aren't making it up. I know when they show yet another press conference where Bush is still pushing his failed war policies, they aren't putting words in his mouth. The media hasn't created the chaos in Iraq, George Bush has.
I don't need the media to help me form my opinions. I can tell the difference between reporting and opinion, most people can. It seems to me that the worse things get in Iraq the more the conservatives scream about media bias. As though the media is controlling what is happening over there. And apparently the conservatives think that the media should just ignore the scandals plaguing the Republicans. Reporting on them at all triggers the screams of bias. Just because you don't hear what you want to hear doesn't make what you do hear media bias. I'm not saying it doesn't exist, but come on, there hasn't been many positive things to report on lately, especially from the Republican side of things. If the conservatives don't like hearing the truth, that's their problem. The rest of us aren't going to stick our heads in the sand because they want the media to ignore the screw ups their own party has caused.

You apparently missed the 2 years or so when Bush lied about the war in Iraq and virtually no one in the media called him on it.
I kept thinking "where is this generation's Walter Cronkite?". Finally Keith Olbermann took up the Cronkite baton and began speaking the truth loudly enough to be heard over the noise coming out of the White House.
"Liberal bias" indeed!

I've seen the media cover anti war rallies attended by tens of thousands and spend an equal amount time covering a handful of counter protesters. It works both ways. Most media try to appear neutral. Fact is, they're all owned by large basically conservative corporations.

The media is entertainment. They will show whatever gives them higher ratings whether that be liberal or conservative. What about that clearly liberal bias on Fox News?
Maybe we should start a new rant about the conservative bias on talk radio.

When 85% of America share the same beliefs, doesn't that mean that its gonna get more air time?
When a few thousand of you wackos that are against things that are none of your business, you think THAT should be news?
It was news when people stand up and protest against YOUR kind of mentality.
Your type of mentality is the same as the Taliban
"Believe like we do or we'll run you out and make you ashamed"
Thats what you think America is all about?
What part of "Love one Another even as i have loved you"
does THAT fit into?

( 34% said they were liberals, 7% said they were conservatives the rest either didnt answer or said they were moderates )

There is media bias on both sides.
And there are plenty of conservative media outlets.
It seems that only one station was interested in the issue, and they happened to side with the supporters rather than your side.
But if no national networks showed up, how can you clam that mainstream media is biased? Mainstream media didn't show up at all -- just one local station. And while you may be correct in your claim about their bias, how does that relate to what any of the other "mainstream" outlets behave or believe?

Mainstream media is corporate owned and conservative. But rich conservatives are not necessarily with the right on so called social or morality issues.
