Sat at the bar with my sister, telling her that my life had to change from the twentiesh to maturer. Leaving bad relationships behind, being more serious about life, making plans on being a parent and the whole shabang. It all worked out. Before 30 was hard to deal with, After 30 wonderful.

If you really want special and memorable, combine all of your favorite people with all of your favorite things.

For my 30th, I went out to my favorite restaurant and sat around a hibachi table with 10 good friends. I stuffed myself full of teriyaki chicken and hibachi steak (two of my FAVORITE foods that I don't eat often) and my girlfriends dressed me up with leis, birthday buttons, and a princess sash & tiara. Then we went to a couple of bars and had a blast. I was careful not to get drunk though, nobody wants their day after to be hell. Be sure to take LOTS of pictures with everyone who comes out with you, and enjoy the moment.

By the way... I'll be turning 31 in a month, and 30 was my best year yet, so have fun! Happy Birthday!

I was DEFINITELY on Duty -- as I was Active Duty with the US Armed Forces on the day of my 30th Birthday. I went to the O-Club (I obtained my Commission and was working my way up the ranks) for lunch, went to the BX and purchased a little gift for myself ... went home, and went back to work making my home READY for the little 'bundle of joy' that was to come along in the near future .....

So that is how my 30th Birthday was spent -- AT WORK!

My wife got all my friends in from across this great nation to throw mw a surprise party. Man it was awesome! Motgomery Inn ribs, Reds game (they actually won), and hitting the bars for an unforgetable night. She earned big points for that one.

Cry, because my 20's were over. However, once the tears were dried I enjoyed the surprise Birthday party that was held for me.

Cried my eyes out. Then went to a Dallas Mavs game, had some cocktails and a REAL GOOD TIME.
