Many people would tell you to go to Wyoming or Colorado, but think about Idaho or Montana. Oregon is nice. If you prefer East then think of Easter West Virginia or North Carolina. Kentucky also is very mountainous and secluded.

You could probably find something in the Appalachian mountains in Eastern Kentucky, but be forewarned there are venomous snakes in the area and in some places it is an hour and a half, possibly two hours, to the nearest grocery store, police station, or hospital. If you could find something for sale closer to a town it would definitely be worth it though, it's absolutely beautiful down there.

My aunt has a cabin in Pigeon Forge,TN. I go there as often as I can( only a 3.5 hr trip). The smoky Mountains are awesome. I have tons of pictures, but I don't know how to post them here on Y!Ask.

A lot of people think of Pigeon Forge as too big of a town. But that's only on the main strip really. Outside of that it is secluded.

The Bob Marshall wilderness in western Montana. There are areas that still have not been charted.

Alaska! It's beautiful and peaceful. Just you, the mountains and solitude.
