Stephen B is correct. Dinosauria includes the living group birds, which evolved from therapod dinosaurs. Other dinosuars you familiar with went extinct at the end of the Cretaceous, approximately 65 mya. In common parlance, people refer to dinosaurs as the non-avian (non-birds) dinosaurs.

Yes dinosaurs were real. Have been extinct for millions of years.
I'm wondering how scientists found out what color they were. You always see them in the movies as brown and green, but how do we know they really weren't pink and blue or something else?

1720,
I also dislike the phrasing of the question and would further point out that if a guy named 420 told you that he saw dinosours, he probably did, but that doesnt mean they were really there. And there are no longer any living dinosours if you exclude alligators as they are decendents but not actuallty the same as what we call dinosaurs.

Not only are they real, they aren't all extinct.

I have a vertebrate paleontologist friend (a PhD) who has, on several occasions, commented on our present day diversity of birds, saying, "No, they're not "related to" dinosaurs, they ARE dinosaurs."

And he means that literally.

Frankly, given the high quality of the source, that's good enough for me!

They did exist millions of years ago. They have since adapted into other reptiles (snakes/lizards) and birds, believe it or not.
Dinosaur fossils were discovered to have not only feathers but a full beak as well.

If you ask an extremely religious person they will say no, since there's no way anything could possibly exist beyond 6,000 years ago (give or take). I wonder what these people do when they walk through a natural science museum.

Yes!

Another possible answer is:
It depends on how you define "REAL"

Those who have convinced themselves dinosaurs never existed (for religious or any other possible reason) will tell you "NO."

This is a case of:
"Not real ACCORDING TO MY PERCEPTION OF REALITY."
.

Well from my opinion I think dinosaurs are real. They were created just as any other animal was they became extinct at around the time of the flood or in the flood in Noahs time. That's what I think >.>

Not anymore but yes they used to. Closest thing we have today to dinosaurs are crocodiles and alligators.

Yes, but they are extinct and have been for ~65 million years.
