Any rock this is more of an opinion question out there i happen to think that free bird has to be the craziest. Just post some opinions

i think that eruption, by eddie van halen was the best solo, it may not have been that long, but it was truely the best solo in my mind. the fingertapping is what made it so good

depending on the day and how I'm feeling, any of the guitarist's below could be the one.
Hendrix, SRV, Kirk Hammett, David Gilmour,
Zappa, Mark Knopfler, Angus Young
and many others ....

also by Lynyrd Skynyrd. The solo isn't nearly as long, but the riffs are amazing.

Not sure if this counts.... but listen to ANY song by a Band Called
"El Mago de Oz".
Yes they sing in spanish, but most of their songs are very cool sounding on the guitar and mostly all of their songs have a solo. Very cool sounding even if you don't understand the words. Here are some titles to look for:
"El Santo Grial"
"La Fiesta Pagana"
"Molinos de Viento" or
"Satania"
Very cool stuff. Give it a shot, you too will become a fan.

When Metallica plays "For Whom the Bell Tolls" live, Kirk Hammett plays an awesome solo at the end. My friend and I used to watch the video over and over just to see how crazy-fast his fingers were moving. I attached the link to the video. He's just a great guitarist.

Depends on what kind of rock you mean, Steve Vai, a guitar virtuoso he writes amazing instrumental songs, I doubt anyone could hold a candle to him as of currently. but if you mean rock songs, as in metal or something non-instrumental, I'd say Master Of Puppets by Metallica.

Its a Doors song...i think its called "Light My Fire"
the guitar solo is, like, 7 minutes long, but its good.
