Don't see why not. You gotta enjoy your food.

Yes - the reason for not eating chocolate mousse is the raw egg. A lot of shop bought chocolate mousses are not made with raw egg, and therefore you can eat them when pregnant. I certainly did when I was pregant.

Chocolate mousse, depending on how it is prepared, might have uncooked egg whites. You can get varieties that do not have the egg whites, or order a cooked variation of the chocolate mousse. While I was pregnant I simply craved chocolate mousse and my obgyn told me that if I wanted ONE that was very okay. He did warn about not eating too much chocolate because of the caffeine, but indulging your cravings with one, once in a while was perfectly fine.

Go on, enjoy your dessert.
Even if it does have egg in it.
"Scientists estimate that, on average across the U.S., only 1 of every 20,000 eggs might contain the bacteria. So, the likelihood that an egg might contain Se is extremely small – 0.005% (five one-thousandths of one percent). At this rate, if you’re an average consumer, you might encounter a contaminated egg once every 84 years."
http://www.aeb.org/LearnMore/EggSafety.htm#howsafe
NB "encounter a..." Not "get sick from."
And (and, apologies if you're not in the US):
"Most food service establishments in the U.S. use pasteurized eggs whenever raw eggs are called for, so food poisoning should not be a concern there except in home cooking."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mousse
If you're eating at home, there're plenty of eggless recipes for chocolate mousse.

Technically, a pregnant woman can have anything she wants... It may just not be wise or good for that baby.
If I'm uncertain if something I consume could harm my baby (I'm about 28 weeks), I don't eat or drink it. My mother thought I was nuts when I told her I don't take communion wine. She said that she did with my sister and me and we turned out fine. My church offers grape juice, so I take that. Well, except for two Sundays ago when I thought I took the grape juice cup and realized differently. My first human thought was about how good the fermenation felt. Then it hit me. I spent the next few minutes freaking out. Oops. I felt horrible. I said a prayer (okay, a dozen) and calmed down.

Look on the packet under the list of ingredients if there's anything you should not have in the list dont eat it. The only way to make sure you are avoiding the right foods is to check the labels.

theres nothing else in chocolate mousse that you shouldn't have except maybe the chocolate. chocolate has caffeine in it and should be eaten in small amounts. Other than that, I can't think of why you shouldn't except for the sugar (no nutrition in it). If it has artificial sweeteners, I would say don't have it. I wouldn't put my baby at risk for a "maybe" on how safe the artificial sweetening chemicals are.
Good Luck.

i don't see why you couldn't eat it even if it had egg in it, i believe it is cooked!
EDIT: most pregnant women i know eat cookie dough and over easy eggs... hasn't seemed to hurt anything!
i looked on allrecipes and many recipes call for cooking the mixture with eggs in it(but if it is not cooked they have a disclaimer saying pregnant women should not eat it)
and if you wanted a professional opinion why not call your doctor instead of asking on yahoo????
