Go to this website and put yourself on the National Do Not Call List. It takes about 30 days to go into effect. In the meantime, if they call back, tell them to put you on their Do Not Call list. Advise them that you will sue their company if they call back again. Get their name and hang up. Good luck!

You probably have a recycled number and they're trying to reach that person and not you specifically.

Be happy it's mortgage brokers and not collection agencies.

no

using auto-dialers to call a cell phone is illegal and can get the caller a stiff fine per call made.

being a nice sort of person, i'd tell the callers that i'm a teenager and thus can't legally do business with them, so will they please save both of us time and money by deleting my number from their database?

but, i'd not count on that happening. so i'd keep records of which ones call and I'd report any repeat calling firms to my state's attorney general -- see the state website for how to do this.

They must have gotten your number from a list and are cold-calling you. telling them you're underage won't help. You might need to get yourself on a do-not-call list.

absolutely not, and tell them to stop calling you, they're wasting your minutes and are harrassing you.
