It runs rampant through the governing hierarchy, with favored and disfavored factions throughout the rank and file. As a formerly favored grunt who got reassigned to an outcast faction, I read the handwriting on my wall and it said, "Get out of Dodge while the gettin's good." So I'm going, going, gone and starting a new venture as we speak.

It was at my old place, and I was just a grunt. I made sure I went to a new area, you simply can't combat favoritism.

Yes. My boss owns her own business, and only currently has 4 employees - we are basically favored based on how long we have worked for her, and I have worked for her the least amount of time.

the place where i work there are alot of mexicans and my supervisor in the dept that i worked in at the time played favorites. they could do no wrong in his eyes and if i did something wrong i would always catch hell and so i transfered to a better job in a different department

I see it alot in other departments. Ours is so small, there are only 4 people, that we are a tight knit group and there is no favoritism. But, I see it in many others around me.

I'm the Operations Manager, second in command, and the receptionist and Accounts Payables women, GET WHATEVER THEY WANT, & get away with everything!...because their cute & femme...It's BS!...Hell, I only RUN THE COMPANY!...can you say disgruntled???
