I would need it to work with cable, & will have solved a huge problem if this does work. Thanks.

So the white pin plug is a DVI connection. You could buy a tv tuner card for a computer or look for an external tv tuner.

If the white plug that you mentioned is a long rectangle with some pins and the a cross looking thing and then more pins, that is your DVI or digital input, and not a TV input.

Most flat panel monitors can handle both AGP and DVI signals.

ok the white port is a dvi port. which is called digital video port you will need a dvi cable for that dvi port and no it will not work on a tv

nope.. maybe if it's an HDMI output and you have the input on your cable box.. otherwise no

you can get a converter box for $50 (tv box converter or something like that) on amazon... but it doesn't work too well.. (it's not great, but it does the job for me~)
