I'm 4 months pregnant and ever since I got pregnant my allergies are terrible. I always had bad allergies but this is making me go insane. All day I'm blowing my nose and sneezing and I have to keep boxes of tissues by the bed each night cause I constantly wake up with a runny nose etc. It's terrible and my doctor said that about the only thing safe for me to take is Tylenol Sinus Allergy medicene. Which worked great when I wasn't pregnant but now I can't stomach it at all. It makes me sick whether I take it with or without food or on a full stomach. HELP!!!

Everything can get worse during pregnancy

Your symptoms are normal during pregnancy. Blood flow is increased in your body especially to your nose and sinuses so it intensifies your allergies. Unfortunantly there isn't much you can do about it. Sometimes inhaling some steam--drape a towel over your head and a bowl of hot water and just breathe in the steam can help. Also, saline nasal spray--just the saline kind--is safe to use a few times a day but use it sparingly. And one other thing that may help is a sinus cold pack, basically an eye mask that is filled with gel that you get cold and wear to reduce the inflamation of the sinuses.

Oh yes they get worse. don't feel alone mine are horrible, and they have always been pretty bad. My siunes are horrible as well I have these horrible nose bleeds that last for hours and you would think that I was bleeding to death but apparently it is all normal at least according to my doctor. I don't know what to tell you about the tylenol though thats all they told me I could take as well. I hope it gets better for you and not worse like it did for me. Good luck!

you can also ask to take benadryl I did, but it did not work for me either and yes your allergies are going to be worse because now you have a lil one that needs just about everything you have so I would just deal or ask the doctor for something else. but I just dealt with it because I wasted money on stuff that did not even work. good luck and happy birthing,

Pregnancy is what caused me to ever get allergies in the first place. So I'd imagine they'd also be able to get worse.

Yes, pregnancy can make your allergies worse.
Try running the air conditioning at night.

yes, everything is exaggerated during pregnancy. You will notice all sorts of things you never did before while pregnant. Sense of smell is usually heightened as well.
