wax away, you won't hurt a thing as the paint is already cured before it even leaves the factory.

The liquid wax won't hurt the clearcoat I would use a spray on. You should wait 90 days or so before trying to get a real wax job on it where they buff the car. If you buff too soon it can and will damage the clear coat. The paint job needs some direct light to finish curing the paint and clear coat before you get the real deal wax job.Good Luck

Your paint on your car should be old enough to wax. Always look on the bottle and make sure that the wax is for clear coat finishes. Never use a cleaner or wax that has an abrasive in it. This is for finishes that have some oxidation that needs to be removed. Using a good wax such as Mequires or Black Magic will protect the new finish and will be easier to clean when you wash it.

there are waxes that are specifically made for clear coat paint jobs. You do want to let the paint age about 6 months before you do start waxing it. It gives the paint time to cure fully. Read the label of the waxes before you use the wax. good luck.

No it can not hurt the clear coat, if you use a high grade wax such as "Mothers". Think of it this way, if it was bad to wax it, would car dealers and professional car enthusiasts do it? Good luck!
