Does having negative blood affect a baby?

If you are negative and dad is positive then there is a 50/50 chance that your baby will be positive. If your baby is positive then you will need to get the rhogam shot. This neutralizes your baby's blood while you are pregnant so your body doesn't see your baby as a threat. If you don't get the shot then there is a good chance your body will see your baby as a threat and this can cause a miscarriage.

Talk to your doctor about this for more information

If the baby is RH+. then you need shots to help protect the baby from your body attacking it.
