As stated it dpeneds on the car but as a rough guide at a main dealer on a main service they will

Change oil and filter, change fuel filter, change pollen filter if fitted, change air filter, spark plugs, screen wash addative, check transmission fluids, check all lights, check brakes, steering, suspension, seat belts, lubricate door locks and hinges basically you work through a manufacturers check list and tick off the items there

A lot of the cost will be down to Labour charges , which depending on where you live can be expensive. The service book will tell you what is done on each service , so it would depend on what milage youre at and what services have already been carried out . If you have a reputable independant that friends or family have recomended then you will get a more personal cheaper service that should be of a similar quality to a franchised dealer.
Good Luck.

A lot depends on the mileage on the car. In your owner's manual, you will most likely find a detailed list of service that is to be preformed at the specified mileage. So the cost of service and the duties that are performed will vary. Look it up, and see what you are due for. good luck.

All reputable garages give you a "menu" with all items listed,if a garage says they don't do that,go somewhere that does.
