What are Taureans like in real life.
The written descriptions do us a great injustice!
All things said about Taurus seems to be wrong.
I know many a Taurus and am one myself.
My taurus family and friends are nothing like the descriptions.
The olny thing that seems to be right is the stubborness.
Whats the deal?

I have never met a DUMBER sign than Taurus. My roommate and bf
are Tauruses. They are better than the cold and calculating SILENT types like Virgo and Libra.

I am a Capricorn woman. No, I do have a little more brains than a

Actually, most of the things from taurus descriptions apply to me:

* stubborn/persistent/determined

* sensual - as in i love satisfying my senses: touch, smell, taste, hearing, etc....not necessarily sexual (for me anyway)...

* materialistic - i like nice things: clothes, jewellry, electronics :P hehehe...BUT, I also like saving...so I first save up and when I have MORE than enough (not just enough, but MORE than enough) money...then I tend to buy things for myself. I also don't really have a problem giving money away, but ONLY for family and friends AND if they NEED it or it's a special occasion (like their birthdays). I won't give money to a friend who wants a $800 coat. That's impractical (and irritating). But I have given around that much for mortgage payments and cancer treatments. THOSE are important. A stupid coat isn't.

* lazy - unless I have to earn my own money because then I'm pretty hard-working.

* practical

* loyal/trustworthy - i *can* keep secrets...I think it's matter what your values are...I do things that I expect from others and believe if I won't do them, then I don't have any right demanding the same from others.

* hardworking - when I really enjoy whatever I'm working on...be it an interesting school project or a work of art (i.e., writing)

* I seem calm...especially when I'm stressed or pissed off but little do people know that there's a lot of emotions broiling on the inside...and I don't think that's Taurus-like. I mean, Taurus people are supposed to be rational, not emotional. Although, I am rational on the outside, I'm REALLY emotional on the inside.

* Would rather stay home and be by myself, but if I'm forced, then I can put on a smile and be social...and in social situations...I tend to be hyperactive. :P

I have known 2 Taurus' in my time really well. One my husband and 2 my old boss. My husband is very strong willed and opinionated and thinks he's right about everything. Very controlling and likes things his way. My boss on the other hand was very quiet and insightful. He was very meticulous. They were quit the opposites, but I have no idea how he acts at home. While my husband is at work he seems perfect so go figure.

A Taurus is a very will-full person! They run their own show and no one can tell them different! They are very outgoing, sociable butterfly, very sweet and good looking. Hardworking people and I would say that they are that one person that no matter what time of day or night if you need them they will be there in a heart beat! Definately someone you can count on!

They love to dress nice. And have money. You don't have to worry about this woman being a bum. (smile) Somewhat a miser when it comes to certain things. more like a "selfishly cheap".
