I know that they say so much of falling in love has to do with pheromones and biological mechanisms stemming from physical interactions, but at the same time, I've known quite a few people who have developed feelings for someone they only know on the internet! Have you ever experienced this, and did you end up ever getting to express those feelings and meet them in person? Does internet romance work in real life?

I have a boyfriend I met in person and I've been with him for quite some time, but before that I developed feelings for a very good friend of mine that I met randomly on DeviantArt. It seemed like we were in love, but we had never actually met before. It was strange, but fun.

I don't know anyone that ended up with a good relationship from the internet meeting.
You can become attractted to a personality and a perception of someone. Just stay very open minded because they will put the best picture they have ever had taken up,( I even do that) but you should ask for most recent pics. They will be different in person. As well as you may think you know them, you will be starting all over when you meet in person. The reason is; in person is a different relationship as online. That can not change. They don't have time to think of best responses you get the raw them. Disaster strikes when reality meets virtual and you suddenly realize they do not live up to your perceptions. On the other hand, you may like them more when you start over as a in person real date.

Anything is possible, but I'd recommend getting out a little more and checking the dating scene before you bother with on line dating. If you could find the person you want to date for free rather than finding that person after subscribing to a service, wouldn't you? The same person you could meet on line has to leave their house at some point too.

yes i have (in the past), but part of (the romantic feelings) it has to do with the "illusion" of the person you are getting to know online..... but beware, i have met people in person that i had met online and so far NO good, although they may be great to talk to online you just dont really know what you are getting until you see them in person...... for example , they might have a really old picture of themselves online when they "Used" to have a full head of hair and then you meet them in person and they have a receeding hair line, or to your horror might find out they have missing teeth, which might explained why they have no open mouth smile pictures, or they are tooo short, the list goes on, and on, so i think the best thing is to meet them in person and that is when you really know for sure what you are getting

Yes it can happen sometimes coz love comes from the heart and hear can't see but feels, its said love have no eyes means heat have no eyes
Your can believe this if u feel in love some person. You can't know its religion, color, character wealthy, poor, near or far. But only what u need is how to get her or him

I have been strongly attracted to the idea of someone who I only really know through emails, but I wouldn't call it anything close to love, and like I said, I liked the idea of this person more than I liked him.

I've never experienced it personally, but I do have friends that have met guys online and then dated them. None of them ever turned into serious relationships, but they did have fun and nothing weird happened.
