Depends on downforce settings, tires, gearing, turbo setting, and all that. F1 is mainly about driving, NOT top speed. IN fact, they purposely put in chicanes to slow the cars down.

The fastest straight line speed recorded at an F1 event was 221.5 miles per hour, set by David Coulthard in 1998. Course average would be quite a bit lower than that.

normally in racing one can touch to 370-380 kmph but top speed for f1 is varies from 428-433 kmph

i dont think its 500km/hr....i think its around 374km/hr...
