some maps say 4....some 5....wikipedia says a whole bunch of crap...im tired of this...my buddy says 21...but he does crack....please settle this dispute so i can claim my winnings from my bet with johnny the crack head....need that 20 for more bud...please help....your friendly neighbornood stoners :-p

The give oceans are Atlantic, Pacific, Indian, Arctic, and Southern. The Southern Ocean was a term commonly used by sailors, but its recognition by the international oceanographic community is newer. It happened in part because scientists learned more about the importance of ocean currents near Antarctica.

There are 5 oceans in the world. There is the Atlantic, Pacific, Arctic, Indian, and Southern Ocean. The Southern Ocean was recently added in the last 2 or 3 years. Scientists found the southern part of the Atlantic surrounding Antarctica to be big enough to be noticed as an ocean. So there are 5 oceans in the world not 21 nor 4 but 5...

First off drugs are bad.... There's no fun in that... Second Wikipedia sucks and I could go on there and write an extremely wrong story about how people get cancer from coloring with green crayons which is not true you crackhead!! Kidding but you do need to stop that drug use and drinking...

Though some people like to split the Arctic into two because of specific locations and that is where you get 5.

In general 4$, but 5-s $ is common ocean by Atl.,Ind.,PAc.,
21 maybe be a sea.Exist an the 6$ ,this is subteran Siberian Ocean, situated in Russia.
But many lakes have a second names as ocean, exemple Baikal.

There are four oceans in the world, according to the atlas I own...Arctic Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, Indian Ocean, and Pacific Ocean. There are definitely not 21!

well I'd say 4: Pacific, Atlantic, Indian, and Arctic. Most of those other "oceans" are on the border of main oceans.
