There *might* be a JRP in Utah, but be prepared to spend a lot of money. And that's just for classes and auditions. You need headshots and zed cards too, depending. Now, JRP is not a scam, not matter what they say. They do not *guarantee" stardom- they just prepare you for the long road to get to it.
Mainly, you need to have talent, not just a pretty face. Visit LA, go to starbucks. Ask the lady behind the counter what her profession is. She'll probably (90% of the time) say she's an actor.
Oh, and you need to look really young, but be really old to get parts most of the time. For example, if you watch "That 70s Show", Fez's Crazy blond girlfriend isn't even CLOSE to 17. She's 31 or so. Look it up. So, if you're 14, you better look 10.

JRP and Barbizon are BOTH ripoffs. If you want to act do it in school and find a kids theater group. You can't become famous no matter who tells you otherwise. Just do this for fun until you are old enough. When you get older you will have had some experience. These acting and modeling places for kids are all scams. Your parents will lose money and you'll get disappointed.

The primary factor to take into account approximately JRP is that they don't make any warranty that they are going to get you're employed. They are a college, now not an company. Expect to acquire guideline and guideline simplest, now not jobs and even task leads. The well information is that even though their categories will also be costly, attending a college of this style can support you to spice up your trust and provide you a style of what you'll be able to count on from respectable move-sees and auditions. Sometimes that by myself is valuable. I went into the ones categories a scared little rabbit of a individual and got here out with the style of grace, poise and trust many men and women in no way acquire in an entire life. The children at college might now not recover from the difference in me. The simplest pink flag I'd elevate for you is the IMTA conventions, if they are nonetheless strolling the ones. They'll don't forget you for "unfastened," as facet of your application schooling, but when you're decided on, you'll be able to pay additional--plenty additional--to honestly attend the conference. I suppose there are different, much less costly methods of having your face in the market, but when you are the believe fund child style, then whats up--opt for it! You'll ordinarily have plenty of amusing and meet plenty of alternative men and women, on the very least. So, in brief, I would not name JRP a rip-off. Just recognize what you'll be able to moderately count on from them earlier than you're making a choice. Ask your interviewer tons of questions and take an afternoon or 2 after the interview to suppose approximately whether or not or now not that is some thing you real desire to spend money on. Shop round and spot if there are different categories and workshops you'll be able to take that can be much less costly and/or of higher great. Good good fortune.
