Wow that really sucks, i am almost 14 and i was allowed going to the mall by my self with a friend when i was 12!
I think that you should talk to your parents and explain that its not fair that you can't go to the mall expecially with a group a friends..like if you all stick together then there shouldn't be a problem..:) good luck:)♥
And i would recommend talking to your parents about how you ARE growing up and you should be allowed having some freedom:)
and i know how embarrasing that would be to have your parents watching over you in the mall especially when you are with a group of friends..

No. Actually malls across the nation are cracking down on teens loitering at the mall and there are some malls across the nation that are now checking IDs and sending any kid under the age of 16 home if they don't come with a parent to the mall after 4:00 P.M. It's really easy to get kidnapped in a mall.

This all depends on your history of trust with you and your parents. If you have done anything that has missplaced your parents trust, it is unlikely that they will let you do anything with anyone. You will need to re-build this trust. Personally, I would let my daughter go to the mall with her friends. I trust that her growing maturity will enable her to make the correct decisions. On the other hand, if I found out that she was hanging out with a group of boys and she tells me it will be only girls, that is when she has lost my trust and she will more than likely not be able to go to the mall with her friends. Either that, or I will be somewhere in the mall with my cell phone. Just in case she needs me.

Yes! My daughters have been dropped of at the mall sencie they were 10. My girls are very responsible, strong, and respectful. They must earn the right to go anywhere. My family believes in the 4 rights. Food, clothing, shelter, and education. They earn everything else. Show you're parents that you are responsible and maybe they will let you.
Best of luck!

Personally,I think so.I mean you're 14 years old and you know not to go in a strangers car and those kind of things. So I think you should explain to your parents that you're not longer a kid and you can go somewhere by yourself.Or you're alternative is a parent(s) can come with you but they're in a different section at the mall.
Plus it depends on how much your parents trust you and things like that.If you snuck out of a house or anything like that, chances are you'd have to wait awhile to go out on your own.

i would say absolutely yes.
i am 15 and my parents are pretty protective too, but they let me go to the mall with friends when i was probably 12 or 13. explain to them that there are lots of people in the mall, so it is very unlikely that anything bad could happen to you..
good luck with your parental unit

my brother lets me go to the mall with friends all the time. BUT I have to call and check in with him like a million times while im there. at least once an hour. that way he knows we're ok and he lets me know when he's gonna pick us up too. he doesnt have a problem with it and neither do any of my friends parents.

Definatley. Its no problem at all. As long as your with friends pretty much nothing can happen. You may be able to recall this but Dateline NBC says 99% of "kidnappers, rapeists, etc" will back off when they see groups of people without an adult. This is because of witnesses. Just stay with your group and hope your mom will allow it.
Good luck. happy shopping.

I wouldn't be comfortable dropping my 14 year old daughter off at the mall by herself.
