Sadness sucks but depression is worse.

I've been through both, it's almost a curse.

I put on a smile to hide my true self,
But some people see through it _______

This is what i have so far. :(

Does this sound ok?

Sadness sucks but depression is worse.

I've been through both, it's almost a curse.

I put on a smile to hide my true self,

But some people see through it all by themselves.

They don't need help they can just tell

It's like beign an animal trapped in it's cell

This way that i feel it's hard to explain,

This is the final product unless anyone has anymore ideas.

Sadness sucks but depression is worse.
I've been through both, it's almost a curse.

I put on a smile to hide what's inside,
But some people see through it and can tell it's a lie.

They don't need help they can just tell,
It's like being an animal trapped a cell.

This way that i feel it's hard to explain,
I feel as though I am in chains.

I hate most all that I've done through the past,
I know I'm a kid but it's not been a blast.

I hate some of my life but some of it I like
And sometimes I wish that God would just strike.

when writing poetry, try not to write yourself into a corner - the way you have your poem written you are looking for one magic word to fit into a specific place and it seems like you wrote yourself into a corner with only one possible solution. try rewording the rhyme before to give you more options... dont try to find the one magic word to finish a rhyme because it hardly ever fits the image or idea you are trying to portray... also, you can use "half rhymes" that dont rhyme completely, but sound similar. rappers do this all the time. look up "half rhymes" on wikipedia. there are lots of different ways to ryhme, by vowel sound, by consonant sound, by syllable...

pelf -
money, wealth, or riches, especially if obtained dishonestly (archaic)

I don't know how you'll work it into your poem, though.
