2 different things are REAL bad for clutches, high heat and shock loads, slipping it alot when taking off form a stop will cause heat, or reving the engine and dumping the clutch will cause shock

The worst thing you can do to a clutch is to rev the engine and let slowly off of the clutch pedal. It sounds bad but the best way to take off without damaging the clutch is to rev the engine slightly and let off as quickly as you can without spinning the tires or killing the engine.Good Luck...Also you should have the clutch plate resurfaced and checked for cracks. Might as well have them replace the throw out berring too it's not that expensive but if you don't change it now you will have to pull the tranny when it goes out. 700 should include all of the parts including the pressure plate but make sure they at least resurface the clutch plate.

pay the $700 or shop around for a better price, do not try and put the N/A clutch on there, it will burn out in no time because of the added power of the turbo. Not to mention it might even be a different engine and or transmission. Good luck!

The worst thing that I know you can do to a clutch is riding the clutch. Your supposed to use it to get the car rolling but get off as soon as you can. Some people drive down the road with there foot on the clutch or they keep the clutch engaged too long when taking off

There are aftermarket clutch suppliers that have high performance clutches for cars of your type. Try looking at sites like Summit and Jegs. I would replace the whole assembly. The pressure plate, clutch disc, and throw out bearing. good luck.
