Poor people who live common lives are doing the the normal human thing (being green). Go to a small town in Hungary and what are people doing (being green). This celebrity laden trash where they think they are doing something great for the world is a scam. Only the rich can be excessive pigs, reduce by a little bit, and then consider themselves hero activists. The poor, who are affected the most are being preached to by rich people telling them to use flourescent bulbs. What a joke.

I'm with ya all the way on this one, Bud! John Edwards claims he's "green" when he's got a house so big it has its own Zip code and a carbon footprint bigger than God's! Al Gore is just as bad. Did you catch his "Earth Show", with all the celebrities flying in in their jets? There's another God-sized carbon footprint across the face of old mother earth! Like you said, it's a bunch of rich people patting themselves on the back -- for nothing!

They're still don't compare to the "Red" initiatives by powerful men that get rich from wars.

Every little thing we could do helps. The truth of the matter is... People with the money have the power, unfortunately. They are the ones that can make large significant individual contributions. Let's just hope they are doing things for the right reasons with the right incentives.

yes, i'm sure some are trying to get attention. However, being that the US is such a media happy nation, they promote the new technologies and awareness. That is better than zero.

Going green no matter the size of your income/bank account is a good thing.

I think your jealousy has jaded you.
