That is a great question. Wish I had the answer to it, as I am wondering it myself. I have heard that hypnobabies is a much better program. I've read a lot of forums about it on babycenter.com. I'd recommend posting your question in there. I think people have said they just ordered the "at home program" through the company and it was wonderful. I haven't heard anything bad about hypnobabies, which is kind of a remake of hypnobirth (I think). Mothers have said it has made them so relaxed and so in-control of their bodies and pain. One said she actually went into the dr. smiling when she was in labor. Many of the nurses didn't think she was actually going into labor, but it turns out she was fully dialated.
Again, I suggest getting into the conversations at that website. It provides much information. I plan to try hypnobabies after my husband and I conceive. So best of luck to you and your little one!!

Try going online and looking up hypnobirthing therapists in your area. You might find their links off a midwifery site. There's a woman in my area who teaches it and works directly with mothers in their home and, I believe, during the birth.
Good luck, you might try a book on your own or with a friend to help and if it simply isn't helping consider the classes.

I did not do that; but I used the Bradley method and I taught myself using the book. It is natural childbirth and it really works. I used it four times. I have had hunger pains before that were worse than labor. The Bradley method uses total relaxation to keep the uterus from cramping. The main pain is the cervix stretching. Pushing contractions are painless.

I would think you could take some classes online or get some books.

A waste of time. Opt for the epidural and have a nice birth experience not one with pain and screaming. Hypnobirthing sounds like a hoax. Why spend the money?
