i'm looking for a baby sling but i want to buy one from a store not online does anyone have a clue which stores have them??

The best ones are online. You can have someone make one for you, or sometimes you can find them in second hand shops. I highly recommend the Maya Wrap ring sling. It's adjustable but not complicated.
One option you have is a padded sling. They're not adjustable, so you may have to keep your hand on your baby a lot. Babies R Us sells the Nojo sling. Don't bother with the Playtex Slingrider. It has a really low weight limit and can only be used in one position.

Call the different baby stores in your area. The disadvantage of the stores is that they typically carry only one size (and some come in 2 or more) and they are limited on vendors. Just be aware of that and have fun! BabiesRUs near me only carries those front carrier things. For awhile, they carried the sling promoted by Dr. Sears, but I didn't see it when shopping for a baby gift in February.

Honestly the best and least expensive ones are only online. The only thing you have to do is measure your chest diagonally from your shoulder to you hip. It is really easy. I have a sling from urbanbabywear.com and from lucky-baby.com. You can get one on sale for like $20. But Target is now selling Hotslings. You can go to their website and check them out before you go to target. The only drawback is that they are kinda expensive $44.
Slings are really helpful for new moms. Hope you find what you're looking for!

mostly obscure little shops. I have one I no longer use . . .and I'm sure MY price is ALOT better than any store's!!
