The programme is written by nature which has been passed down from parents and grand parents and so on. It has been shuffled to the advantage of your child. You thank God for all this.

I think in this context, the word program is a metaphor, implying that DNA is simply the coding for life, the rules that our bodies follow in their growth and development. For a long time, socialisation has been seen as the creator of an individuals personality (though how that explains types A and B personalities is beyond me!) While I will readily agree that God is obviously a great guy, to attribute him with everything good, while blaming the parents for everything bad, is obviously wrong. I see God as the overseer, offering guidance. Parents likewise offer guidance and support to their children. That's all you can do. It seems that no matter how children are brought up there will always be temptation to do wrong. You are not on your own with your concerns, every parent goes through the same thing. All you can do is try your best. I hope you have a truly wonderful life with your new baby, who grows up to be somebody you can be proud of. I think the best lessons we can give our children is to resist the temptations to do wrong.

God wrote the program, gave us all the necessary skills, the planet and all its resources and the freewill to do what we want with it.
Please don't confuse religion with God. Religion is only the organised worship of God, it is not God in any shape or form.
They claim they are God's representatives, yet their actions are very human.
God doesn't need anyone help, let alone a bunch of self righteous people, who are only interested in forcing their opinions on you.
Enjoy the beauty and pleasure of your child, thank God every day for just being alive and having the opportunity to share your life with others. But don't get hung up on religious dogma.
God gave us freewill, Christ set us free, notice the key word, FREE, don't bind yourself in the chains of ignorance.

he brings his character, his soul, from previous incarnations.
essentially, your child is the pure consciousness of god embodied, but ignorant of his true identity.
we appear here in different forms, constantly changing, constantly exploring our experience of ourselves, to discover directly this truth.
those past experiences shape the evolving soul, so the character of each soul is usually apparant quite soon after birth.
we manifest new experiences to understand a new aspect of our true being. sometimes this is painful, often if we are having to go over the same point over and over again because it has not sunk in or we are resisting it. In this way it looks like things are going wrong, but it can never go wrong. Even if our resistance takes us to hell, and most of us have touched on this to some degree, we can always surrender to life and move back up.
Ultimately, it is all god's will; your son is god exploring, rediscovering himself having deliberately forgotten.
children are so beautiful because this divine light is barely obscured. As we move into the drama of our exploration, we lose or hide this light.

Who knows? No one can tell you where God came from, but even the most erudite scientist can't tell you where the 'big bang' came from. These are questions we are not supposed to ask, because they don't fit into the current paradigm.
Stop worrying. Enjoy your child and watch him grow. Encourage him to question everything and don't give him staid answers which you learnt in school.
It's not easy being a parent.

First of all DNA, as far as we know ISN'T the "program for life," DNA is a "chemical structure that interacts with other chemicals to regulate cellular function..." We THINK...It may just be a "receiving structure" for morphogenic fields...
The difference being that a "program" is written by a person.
DNA is self scripted, and the only reason that people can't seem to accept that NO ONE CREATED US is that they lack imagination...I'm going to attach some other answers that discuss the mythology of God, but the reason you are so in love with your baby is simply that you and it were ancestrally destined to get along famously...at least until he gets a little older...probably because millions of years ago if a father WASN'T that amazed by their kids, they were dinner...

His character comes from YOU and YOUR WIFE, by virtue of having survived long enough to find each other...It was a longer, less likely journey than you think...
