I think they would go without flushing their toilets just to prove there is no such thing as gravity. Science is a form of witchcraft.

I know, they fly hundreds of private jets around, and all the car emissions from those giant concerts...not to mention the trash left behind when it is over...oh wait...never mind, that's libs...they like to just buy off their gluttony with green credits or tokens or whatever...

And the projected 1.5 million tons of trash they're going to have to clean up and burn after the Live Earth concert is a good way to save the environment? Or the fact the performers at Live Earth use their jets so much they use in 6 months the amount of carbon the average citizens uses in 20 years?

I have lived in 4 different cities over the past 10 years, Houston, Tx is the worst when it comes to a recycling program. They don't have bins and don't even have a truck that comes around to pick up recycled stuff that I have ever seen. All the crap that comes out of this city, they need something more than any other place I have ever lived.

No it's to prove that God loves them, he'll clean the mess up! And they don't want the government to tell them what to do. It would limit their liberties to live in a nanny state that promoted conservation. But ironically an Orwellian spy state is just peachy.

Your premise is wrong. Many Republicans are concerned about the environment and are ecologically minded, just as many Dems lack any sense of environmental issues. It's not fair to generalize about people based upon party affiliation, even though that seems to be what we're good at these days. Must be why nothing gets done in D.C.

although I do understand your frustration with the disdain for science, and I truly empathize... I have to say.. most red states don't have a huge pollution problem simply because we don't have the population.. and out of sight/out of mind.

Well when they quit building big mansions with 20 extra rooms to heat and air condition and quit flying their private jets daily they might get more people to pay attention. When they don't take it seriously their selves how can they expect others to? It's like a drunk telling others not to drink.

Somehow I find your statement inaccurate. Try writing something that makes sense, because writing stuff like this is a true waste of time.
