I typed in google billydilly@hotmail.co.uk and it came up with some questions I answerd on Yahoo.
Why are they stalking me?
What shall I do?
Am I the only one?
I am so upset because I trust Google and have used them as my main search engine for a long time

they are not stalking you. What their search engine does is look for matches for a particular set of letters. The they give the search result a score based on the popularity and various other parameters. So, if your name is used often or you participated in something that was popular then your name is bound to appear. For example if you type Britney in a google search engine you are very likely to get a search result with Britney spears because god or bad she is a popular search. However, another person named Britney but different last name may not appear or it may appear as hit number 1,000,307 or something like that if at all.

Google and other search engine do not look at particular persons. All they have is some very nifty algorithm that look up information of certain web pages. Also note that search engine may not access all servers. For example, your medical record should not appear on a google search unless somebody put it in a public web page on purpose. This means that when you do a search you don't get every possible page in the entire world. Just some of the most popular.

So, I would not loose much sleep over it. If it still bothers you you can always create a new e-mail account.

The trouble with "search engines" and web sites is that they have the ability to "remember" you once you visit them - a bit like an unwanted "friends" who you no longer see. They attach little files or "cookies" to your PC and are able to see when you return or browse the Net.

By putting your active email on google, it is now avilable to any other search engine since they all store and use info placed on them.

They're not stalking you but just sending you stuff you might like.

Make sure your firewall is on and your antivirus is up to date and get a "spam" filter installed on your PC. And for god's sake dont give any personal details to websites or search engines unless you're sure you can trust them!

Good luck.

Well for starters don't leave you're email address hanging around the internet. Anything you write or publish on the net remains there forever. Even, if you've deleted it.

Usually you would go back to the sites where its appearing and manually remove the information or contact the site admin.

In this case it's regarding you're yahoo posts such as ' I feel so lonely...and broken hearted....?' - abit embarrassing.

Try and edit those questions and remove you're email add.

AND EVEN THIS POST! REMOVE EMAIL ADD NOW!

Hey Billy!

The biggest mistake you have made so far is to put your email on this question. There is a very good chance you will now get even more junkmail.

You should have said "I typed in my email address in google, and it returned results".

A question needs to be asked though, why did you google your own email address? What were you expecting?

Sorry buddy, you brought it upon yourself.
