in 97's kiss the girls morgan freeman played Dr. alex cross...and in 01's along came a spider he also played alex cross..i saw the movies a couple times but dont remember if the 2 movies were tied together somehow...any help would be appreciated! thanx!

I remember a book in which I read from Author James Patterson, the book was called Violets Are Blue and the main character in the book was Detective Alex Cross, its a really good suspenseful book, and they are the two movies based on the books by James Patterson and Morgan Freeman played the Alex Cross Character, really good.
