Why do hearing always stare and ask questions like deaf are aliens...same as you just cant hear...and why if there interpriter are they always talk to the interpriter....why are hearing always rude and shut off to Deaf is what i want to know

yes i know people are rude to everyone..it just hard when so outcasted. And stare at you like alien or automaticaly assume you Deaf and dumb. Or automaticly asusme you can lip read. When you lip read only get 10% maybe of what they say...Sorry just frustrated is all. Thank you for your insight though.

It's hard to comprehend that speaking to a deaf person will be understood. It's like waving to a blind person in our minds. I worked with several deaf men and since I had bad teeth I was enormously uncomfortable with lip-reading, since they stared so intently at my mouth, but I learned to get over it. It's just a matter of people accomodating to other people. Keep in mind people are rude to everyone, hearing or not, and it's nothing you did.
