How 'bout this one: "Summerville"--a nice little town with smiles and friendly neighbors but where jealousy, betrayal, secrets, affairs, and lusts run rampant that you don't know whom to trust anymore. But in the end, love reigns supreme. Any ideas for the plotlines?

I think the current soaps have run out of ideas. It's all been done and re-done. Nothing original anymore. And one soap steals from another when the writers move around. lol But I'll still watch.

How about a 30- minute soap that will air at 12:30 on ABC to compete with Y&R. Name it.... "Chances Of A Lifetime". It's Set in the medium sized Georgia Town of Macon, and this southern soap will focus on the Balkcom, Collier, Farnsworth, and Hendrick Families, also around the two rival fashion companies "Balkcom Enterprises and Van Horne Industries." It must have great, compelling characters such as thise on Guiding Light, and always have current, and realistic storylines!

forget summerville! try sunset rcf this would make a great show old folks in a home they can be very funny, and young people takeing care of them , they can have drama , love , humor , what a great time for this kind of show when all the baby boomers will be in homes in the next 10 to 15 yr's. get some antlers and go for it.

sounds like ever other soap on the market! How about this instead...make the setting a university campus w/ faculty and staff as the main characters (throw in some students for humor and add a faculty member that dates students)...spend any time around a college and the plot will write itself.
